Adopting two orphaned children—a boy and a girl—the oracle begins a journey of training. The girl is taught the ancient arts of sorcery to one day take the oracle’s place. The boy, blindfolded as a symbol of “blindsight,” is trained as a warrior to defeat the beast in the future. Over the years, the boy matures into a capable fighter, returning to the oracle and sorceress for guidance as the world outside grows darker.
As the prophecy unfolds, the oracle, now a silent skeleton, watches over the sorceress who reveals a magical spear tip to the warrior—one destined to slay the beast.
